It must be September! The peak of migration is here and birds are widespread across the Island.

Birds can fly. We know that. But some birds do more than fly; they dip and dart and make very acrobatic moves in the air.

Birders will flock to the Gay Head Cliffs for the next month or two, especially in the early morning.

How time flies! It is hard to believe that Friday is Sept. 1.

A walk through the woods is much quieter now than it was anytime from April through July.
