Today, bright sun on the snow cover: a new visitor at our bird feeder in the woods was a house finch male sporting his red forehead and chest. On Sunday, during the snow storm, a little song sparrow seeking refuge under a holly branch that had blown against the feeder`s pole, occasionally appearing to snow/ground feed with half a dozen mourning doves.
