As much as ancient sayings are to be revered, there's a lot to be said for March settling in like a lamb. We've had a mild winter with a few snowstorms and no long or truly bitter settling in of cold, and it seems that now, with the vernal equinox three weeks away, there is little likelihood of true winter clamping us between its teeth. There's no such thing as certainty about New England weather, but there is reason to hope.
