Flying Old Glory on Ocean Park. Tim Johnson

Sunday, September 3, 2023

August is now over, having passed once more in its overwhelming headlong hurry. September, this wonderful month of harvest and ripeness, now stretches before us, its thirty days a seeming eternity. Poised between summer's rush and fall's recessional, this month occupies a special place in every Island year — first in anticipation, then in savored enjoyment and finally in happy memory.

Thank you for these marvelous Island Light photos, Tim Johnson. For me, the most evocative at this time is the pickup truck with tomato tins full of zinnias from MGF. Thanks again.
