Ideal Conditions Highlight Chilmark Road Race

Defeating a crowded field under ideal weather conditions, Charlie Ortmans won the men’s division of the Chilmark Road Race with a time of 14:56 and Marian Johnson won the women’s division with a time of 17:49.

Many thanks to all the runners and volunteers that year after year makes the Chilmark Road Race a great success, and thanks to the Gazette for a lovely story. We especially liked the Team Walking on Empty photo by Roy Ewing and the four photos by Roy Glick showing the ever increasing mass of runners at Tea Lane.
