You may recall the headline of last March 6: “Angry Island Mob Attacks Bird Watcher; Injuries Result.” Angry? Probably not. Mad? Absolutely. Elvin Jane, the birdwatcher in question, visited the island again last week and we pretty much got things straightened out.

John and Anna Alley are traveling in England for a couple of weeks seeking out and visiting with Anna’s English relatives. You may remember that they went to St. Michael island in the Azores a few years ago to seek out some of John’s ancestry, but no one would come forward and admit to being related to him. They had a fine trip anyway and brought back many fine photos. We wish them a safe return.
