Christina Mason Johnson of New York city and Natick was wed Oct. 11 to Eric Douglas Smith at St. John on the Mountain Episcopal Church in Bernardsville, N.J. Rector Matthew Engelby performed the ceremony at 4 p.m., assisted by visiting Rev. Douglas E. Remer of Tampa, Fla. Alison Dunn of Natick was maid of honor and Brian Repetz was best man. The bride wore the same veil that her great-grandmother, Eleanor McCarter Young, wore at her wedding 90 years ago.

Clare Stuart McLean and Peter Caleb Hedley were married on Saturday, Sept. 6 at the Old Whaling Church in Edgartown. The Rev. John D. Schule presided.

Jamie E. Worden and Michael A. Dalmau of Hyannis, were married June 14, 2008.

The bride is the daughter of James and Margaret Worden of Greenfield and the granddaughter of Dorothy Worden of Oak Bluffs and the late Frederick H, Worden, Jr., retired Edgartown police chief. The bridegroom is the son of Antoinette and Francis Higgins of Brewster and Anthony Dalmau of Brewster.

The 6 p.m. wedding and reception took place at the State Room, Boston, overlooking Boston Harbor, with Hamish Wilkinson, a childhood friend of the groom, officiating.

Connors-Moriarty

Mr. and Mrs. Richard F. Connors, of Woburn and Centerville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Eileen Elizabeth Connors, to Robert Daniel Moriarty. The future bridegroom is the son of the Hon. and Mrs. Cornelius J. Moriarty of South Hadley and Edgartown.

Francis-Henry

Wendy Francis and Donald Ward of Edgartown announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Francis to David Henry of Clearwater Beach, Fla. David is the son of Maureen Henry of Brick Township, N.J., and Michael Henry of Clearwater Beach, Fla. An October 2009 wedding is planned.

On Sept. 6 as Hurricane Hannah descended on the Vineyard, Tracy Meyers and Nicholas Briggs were married in Chilmark. The ceremony and reception took place at the same location overlooking Menemsha Harbor.

The bride is the daughter of William F. and Patricia Meyers of Darien, Conn., and Edgartown. The bridegroom is the son of A. Kirk Briggs and Mary Vivian of Vineyard Haven.

A February honeymoon is planned.

Blair Elizabeth Kingsbury and Peter Alexander Oliver were married on August 9 at the Palms Presbyterian Church in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. The Rev. Dr. Carol DiGiusto officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Marc Edward Tafflin of Ponte Vedra Beach and Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Lee Kingsbury of Charleston, S.C. The bridegroom is the son of Daniel and Louise Oliver of Washington, D.C., and Edgartown.

Cohen-deRosset

Phyllis and Rich Kugler of West Tisbury are proud to announce the marriage of Phyllis’ daughter, Pia Meridith Cohen, to Andrew de Rosset Newlin. The beautiful wedding was held at Gedney Farm in the Berkshires on Oct. 18, with many Vineyarders attending.

Pia is also the daughter of Michael Cohen of New York, and Andrew is the son of John and Dorothy Newlin of Delaware.

Pia and Andrew reside in New York city and will be going on their honeymoon in January to Argentina.

Maura Dickson and Theran Morrison were married on Saturday, Sept. 6. The bride is the daughter of Robert and Annmarie Dickson of Vineyard Haven. The bridegroom is the son of Thomas and Rena Morrison of Oak Bluffs. The couple will reside in Shrewsbury.
