The Edgartown police department is making fentanyl testing strips available to members of the community at risk of fatal overdoses from tainted opiates.

The Cape and Islands district attorney has dropped a manslaughter charge in a fatal opioid-related overdose, citing a recent state Supreme Judicial Court decision.

Two Island men were arraigned Thursday morning in Dukes County superior court on charges of distributing drugs on Martha’s Vineyard.
