Here are the final results of the 62nd annual Martha's Vineyard Christmas Bird Count held Jan. 2.
The sun is rising earlier and the days are getting longer.
Brrrrrr! It has been cold this past week, with a lot of temperatures below freezing.
The 62nd annual Christmas Bird Count was held on Jan. 2, and as reported last week the weather was not bad, nor was it good, for finding birds.
Christmas Bird Count. We lucked out — sort of — this year.
While the famous holiday song has geese-a-laying, I think that geese-a-grazing is more apt, as that is what they do.
Keep your eyes glued to the sky for a glimpse of these species common to our shores.
