June Vincent of Weymouth died after a brief illness at her home. She was 75.

Born on Martha’s Vineyard, she was brought up on Lake Tashmoo in Vineyard Haven and graduated from Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School. She then graduated from Bates College in Maine, earning a degree in marine science.

She moved to Norwood and worked in the cash processing office of Building 19 before moving to Weymouth and joining the USPS at the general mail facility in Boston for the remainder of her career.

She loved knitting and was known for making beautiful afghans for all her family members, making a point to create one for each kid’s graduation. She also loved local travel, going out to eat and her trip to Ireland. Even though of Lithuanian and English roots, she was an adopted Irish girl and loved all things about the emerald isle.

She is predeceased by her parents C. Morton Vincent Jr. and Nelle Vincent, both of Vineyard Haven, and survived by her brother Charles Vincent of Union, Me.

Interment is at Oak Grove Cemetery in Tisbury; services are private.
