John Richard Bauer of Oak Bluffs died on Jan. 4 at the Lily House in Wellfleet after a brief illness. He was 72.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Augustine’s Church in Vineyard Haven on Thursday, Jan 18 at 1:30 p.m. A reception will follow at approximately 3 p.m. at the Harbor House home at 103 Tashmoo avenue in Vineyard Haven.
