Linda M. Baci Fischer died unexpectedly of natural causes at her home in West Tisbury on Dec. 17. She was 69.

She was born in Framingham on April 1, 1954. She graduated from Fitchburg State College with a bachelor of science degree in nursing.

Linda was a nurse for 44 years. She started her career in 1976 at Milford Regional Medical Center and retired in acute care at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital in 2020.

Linda is survived by her husband, Albert Fischer of West Tisbury. They were married on the first day of spring, March 20, 1988. They have two daughters, Lydia and Molly Fischer. Linda also helped Albert raise his two sons, Andrew Fischer and Chris Fischer, from his previous marriage to the late Jeannie Wallace. They, along with Andrew’s wife Emma and Chris’s wife Amy, also survive her.

She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Marni, Tosh and Gene; her beloved French bulldogs, Beatrice and Henry; her sister Elaine Baci Snow and her sons, Timothy and Thomas Snow; and her brother John Baci and his wife Karen and John’s two daughters, Annalisa and Isabella Baci.

She was predeceased by her parents, Nazareno and Alma Baci of Milford.

There will be a memorial service on April 7 at 12 p.m. at the Chilmark Community Center.
