Kathleen Ann Grant, originally of North Falmouth, died at her home in Palm Coast, Fla. after a long battle with cancer on Nov. 21, 2021. She was 60.

She was born March 21, 1961 in Wareham to Carlton W. and Gladys E. Grant Jr. As a child, she enjoyed pony cart rides around North Falmouth with her Shetland pony Penny, often playing a guitar and always decorated with jingle bells, pine bows, and Christmas lights for the holidays. She graduated from Falmouth High School, where she was a member of the marching band, in 1979.

She attended college at Salve Regina University in Newport, R.I. and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She went on to practice nursing in Boston, Charleston, S.C., Martha’s Vineyard, and in Jacksonville, Fla.

She enjoyed boating, sailing, water sports and relaxing at the beach as well as taking her nieces and nephews shopping and out for their favorite flavors of ice cream.

In 2012 Kathleen and her mother became roommates and permanent residents of Palm Coast, Fla. They both enjoyed the warm climate, exercising in the pool, chatting with many friends in their community and watching the ocean waves while spending days at the beach.

She is survived by her father Carlton W. Grant Jr. of Falmouth; brother Carlton W. Grant 3rd and his wife Cindie of Palm Coast, Fla.; sister Sharan E. Lombardo and her husband Charles of Mansfield, Tex.; uncles Joseph F. Lovett and his wife Susan of Baton Rouge, La., and Edward P.
