Allen Pearson Dea died in December at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, Fla. of congestive heart failure. He was 91.

He was born in Andover, the son of Thomas and Eva Dea, and lived on Martha’s Vineyard for 23 years. He graduated from Franklin Technical School in Boston. He served aboard the ship SS Richard Montgomery as a gunner’s mate during World War II, and saw much action in the North Atlantic. He was also a mason.

He is survived by Beverly, his wife of 64 years; his son Peter, his wife, Cathy, and their three sons, Drake, Austin, and Cort; and his son John and his children Michelle and Joshua. He is also survived by his nephew Allen Camp, his wife Marilyn, and their children, Sarah, Eric, and Natalie; and his nephew David Camp, his wife Aana, and their son Skyler, all of California.
