Services were held recently for a 27-year-old Ohio man who died unexpectedly last month while living at Vineyard House, the Island’s sober living community.

Bryce Alan Liddle died on May 29.

An obituary that appeared in the Delaware Gazette in Delaware, Ohio, said: “By the grace of God, Bryce recently made the most important decision of his life by reaching out for help . . . . Bryce had made it to the 90-day sober mark, doing so well and loving life. He was really doing it this time.”

A memorial service was held for him on June 11 in the community room at Vineyard House.

Born April 6, 1989, he grew up in Delaware, Ohio. He played basketball, enjoyed music, friends, family and fishing on the Vineyard.

He is survived by his parents, three brothers, one sister, two aunts and one uncle.

His aunt Rhonda Albert and her husband Erik Albert of Oak Bluffs were a great support to him.

“The family encourages those that need help, and their loved ones, to never give up and to seek help,” the obituary said.
