I am so sorry to hear about this. My sincerest condolences to Buzzy's family, he was such a sweet and personable man. I always enjoyed running into him back when I worked at Up Island Auto pumping gas and he even went out of his way to try and teach me about how to do his job, "just in case I ever decided on a career change." He will certainly be missed.

I want to extend to the family of Buzzy my sincerest condolences. He and I became friends when I ran the Visiting Nurse Service at Community Services. He helped us ensure that all of our patients' records were safeguarded. When I bought my first house, Buzzy was the only person I thought of to rekey it. I thought so highly of him that he even made it into my first novel in 2002.

Buzzy was a treasured man all over the island, but especially at Felix Neck. We always looked forward to his sparkly eyes and big smile. Fall Festival will not be the same without him, we will miss him dearly.

Meredith and Beth/Moe my condolences, I think I may have been buzzy's biggest fan! I locked myself out of my house at least once a year, sometimes twice a year and he would drop everything to let me in!. My prayers

I worked with Buzzy when he was with the phone company and then later as a locksmith. I considered him a friend and a great resource. I will miss him so much. With his passing so much is lost. I am so glad for all the years of wonderful chats and insights. How will Verizon ever know where all the old lines are buried?

For the last 10 years or so, Buzzy made keys for some folks I work for and delivered them right to my door - I suspect he liked to check out the treasures in my husband's workshop. George admired Buzzy's shop-on-wheels and Buzzy made several keys for some old vehicles right there, on the spot. We both liked to visit with him and we will miss him now that he is gone. He left way too soon.

My Mom Gloria, would speak of Buzzy as a Locksmith God! Always very dependable when each season would turn and all cylinders had to be changed. He'd always down play how important he was to our community. He actually taught me at 14 1/2 to do it myself when he'd be overwhelmed with calls. Yep changed all 7 locks in my moms cottage. He will I'm sure be missed by family and many friends. RIP Buzzy!

Buzz rekeyed our house for many years. He was so personable and sweet. We would chat about once a year; it was as though no time had passed between visits, even though it may have only annually. He will be missed. Our prayers go out to his family,

Buzzy was one of the first persons that I met when I moved to The Island way back when. His place was just a hitch up the road from me and who would have thought I would need his services for so many replacement keys and an occasional new lock set over the years. I was lucky. I could not have met a nicer man nor as skilled a locksmith as Buzz, in the first person to meet after washing ashore. Saddened as I am now, reviewing the many times we met up and talked, I now send love and condolences to the family on the entire island's big loss.

A good man with a big heart. He has the key for the next life.
