John (Jack) Warburton Reily, beloved son of Caroline Toth Reily and William Boatner Reily 4th, died Sunday, July 27. He was 22.

Jack was a 2011 graduate of Metairie Park Country Day School. Jack was adamant to return to his home in New Orleans and his friends after having spent years away because of Hurricane Katrina. He had attended the Edgartown School during that time.

Jack was a senior at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and several New Orleans organizations.

He was passionate in his beliefs and in his love of his family, friends and country. He had larger than life charm and energy and was so bright and sensitive. He always left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Jack Reily was a true patriot, Libertarian and respectful debater. He had a deep love of American history and felt it was his duty to uphold the true meaning of the Constitution.

In addition to his parents, Jack was survived by his two brothers, William (Will) Boatner Reily 5th and Hugh Bramhall Reily; by his grandparents Olivia Davila Toth and Charles Toth, and Wendy Griswold Reily and William Boatner Reily 3rd; by his great-aunt Mary Madison Griswold and great-uncle George Griswold 2nd. He was also survived by his aunts, Elaine Stokes Reily and Marilyn Stern; by his uncle, Charles Ernest Toth Jr.; by his cousins Charles Ernest Toth 3rd, Stephen Edgar Toth, Harrison George Toth, Nina Griswold Fitch, Catherine Griswold Gasque and Dickson Griswold; and by his godparents Edgar Allen Gordon Bright 3rd and Bella Viguerie Gsell.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 31, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1329 Jackson avenue in New Orleans. Interment will take place at the Reily family burial plot in Metairie Cemetery. Please visit and sign the family guestbook at lakelawnmetairie.com.
