Kathleen T. Morgan, 62, Was Homemaker, Actress

Kathleen T. Morgan, 62, died at her home in Florida on May 13.

Kathy was born Feb. 8, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pa. She grew up in Philadelphia, where she met her husband, Bill. Together they raised a family in Simsbury, Conn. Kathy spent most of her summers on the Vineyard, where she and Bill retired in 1999. They also spent the last two winters in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.

Kathy was a homemaker and raised two children. Additionally, she worked as Miss Kathy on Romper Room in Burlington, Vt. She later worked for the Farmington Valley Herald as a graphic artist. Kathy was very involved with the Simsbury Theatre Guild, where she served as president for two years and participated in many productions more than 20 years ago. One of her most memorable roles was in Brigadoon in which she starred as Meg Brockie.

Kathy was the daughter of Andrew and Noreen Schmitt, both deceased. She is survived by her husband of Edgartown; a daughter, Heather Haas, and her husband, Christopher, of Simsbury, Conn.; a son, Jason Morgan, and his wife, Jennifer, of Hingham; a sister, Diane, and her husband, Edward, and children Edward and Matthew Cake of Chester, Va. Kathy was known as Grammy to Andrew, Eliza and Zachary Morgan and Madeline and Benjamin Haas.

A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. on May 23 at Saint Mary's Church, 942 Hopmeadow street, Simsbury, Conn.
