The Oak Bluffs tree stewards will host a community spring tree planting on April 20.

Community volunteers are asked to meet at 9 a.m. at Niantic Park, across the street from the Council on Aging building on Wamsutta avenue. They will then be split into teams, one for each of the parks — Niantic, Nashawena and Viera — where the 10 bare root trees will be planted.

More volunteers are needed for various jobs: diggers, mulchers, waterers, stakers and refreshment givers. Tools and materials will be provided, and gloves are recommended.
