The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

Jan. 22

Megan R. Donovan, 24, of Edgartown, was arraigned on Jan. 21 charges in Edgartown of assault and battery and assault and battery on a person more than 60 years of age or disabled. Defendant released on personal recognizance and payment of $150 counsel fee. Pretrial hearing scheduled for March 28.

Savio D. Menegazzo, 28, of Edgartown, was arraigned on Jan. 20 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunk driving, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and failure to stop or yield. Defendant released on payment of $150 counsel fee and $500 bail. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Feb. 2.

Jan. 25

Travis J. Viera, 23, of Edgartown, appeared in a detention hearing on Jan. 19 charges in Edgartown of unarmed burglary and assault, breaking and entering at nighttime for the purpose of committing a felony, assault and battery, intimidating a witness, juror, police or court official, violating an abuse prevention order, and assault and battery on a family or household member. Probable cause hearing on charge of unarmed burglary and assault not held but event resolved and case closed. Defendant continuing to be held without bail at Dukes County Correctional Facility on preliminary finding of dangerousness, not to exceed 120 days. Discovery, compliance and jury selection scheduled for Feb. 20. Bail status review hearing scheduled for May 17.

Jan. 26

Joao B. Docarmo, 33, of West Tisbury, was arraigned on Jan. 19 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Defendant released on payment of $100 bail and $150 counsel fee. Pretrial hearing scheduled for March 1.

Jan. 29

Jefrey B. Dubard, 50, of Boston, was arraigned on a May 27, 2023 charge in West Tisbury of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Charge to be dismissed if court cost of $100 are paid by Feb. 26. Case continued to Feb. 26.

James M. Henderick, 78, of Allston, was arraigned on an Oct. 2, 2023 charge in Vineyard Haven of leaving a scene of property damage. Defendant released on personal recognizance. Pretrial hearing scheduled for March 25.

Paige N. McLaughlin, 29, of Bridgewater, was arraigned on Sept. 26, 2023 charges in Vineyard Haven of trespassing and assault and battery. Defendant released on personal recognizance and payment of $150 counsel fee. Pretrial hearing scheduled for March 28.

Sean S. Steves, 60, who the court lists as homeless, was arraigned on a Nov. 24, 2023 charge in Oak Bluffs of vandalizing property. Counsel fee waived and defendant released on personal recognizance. Pretrial hearing scheduled for March 28.

Sean S. Steves, 60, who the court lists as homeless, was arraigned on Dec. 7, 2023 charges in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery on a person older than 60 years or disabled with an injury and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Counsel fee waived and defendant released on personal recognizance. Pretrial hearing scheduled for March 28.

Jackson G. Wojnowski, 21, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on a May 24, 2023 charge in Vineyard Haven of trespassing. Counsel fee waived and defendant released on personal recognizance. Pretrial hearing scheduled for June 13.
