We have an adoption to report. Samuel Trapps, aka Sammy, a young, orange and white male cat, has found his forever home. Best wishes for the new year to Sammy and his family.

Our pet of the week is Ralphie, a seven-month-old, large black kitten with luminous gold eyes. He’s a sweet boy who is purring and craving attention.

The nail clinic was a huge success. Thank you to all who came. The next nail clinic will take place Feb. 3 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Walks-ins only; $20 cash or check.

The date of the next visit by All Pets Medical Center is Saturday, Feb. 17. If you would like to schedule an appointment for your pet, please contact them at 508-743-8338.

Did you know that anyone who comes to the shelter with a hardship case will be provided with food for their pet/s? We also provide pet food to the Island Food Pantry.

The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. Also, if anyone is in need of cat food, dog food, or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours.

The shelter phone number is 508-627-8662.
