The board of directors at the Farm Neck Foundation has announced its 2023 grant awards. The total amount being awarded to organizations Islandwide is $101,706.

Awards were made to: Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard, $2,500; Circuit Arts, $5,000; Friends of Sengekontacket, $6,500; Island Grown Initiative, $13,900; Islanders Write, $2,500; Lagoon Pond Association, $7,500; Martha’s Vineyard Cancer Support Group, $7,500; Martha’s Vineyard Film Society, $8,000; Martha’s Vineyard Figure Skating Club, $3,500; Martha’s Vineyard Fisherman’s Preservation Trust, $7,500; Martha’s Vineyard Ocean Academy, $7,500; Martha’s Vineyard Shellfish Group, $7,176; Misty Meadows Equine Learning Center, $10,000; SailMV, $10,000; and Second Chance Animal Rescue, $2,000.

The types of projects being funded range from capital improvements for construction to create disability access, equipment purchases, building organizational capacity through funding for summer interns, financial assistance for medical expenses of Islanders and local pets, and program support for camps and festivals.

Farm Neck Foundation is an independent corporation founded in 1979 by Farm Neck Golf Club to provide charitable assistance for the Island community. More information is available at farmneck.net.
