With summertime beach season starting, sales of beach passes for the up-Island towns have begun.

The town of Aquinnah begins sales for seasonal parking and walk-on passes for Philbin and Lobsterville Beaches on Thursday, June 15. They will be sold from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on weekdays except Wednesday. Applications are available on the town website at aquinnah-ma.gov and can be downloaded and completed before dropped off at town hall; they cannot be mailed in. Only credit cards will be accepted as payment.

Chilmark began accepting applications and payments for Lucy Vincent and Squibnocket Beaches on June 1. Applications and payments can be made online at chilmarkma.gov or in person at the town hall’s beach office, located at 401 Middle Road. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on weekdays. Stickers are required at Lucy Vincent Beach from June 1 through Sept. 15 and at Squibnocket from June 1 through Sept. 4 (Labor Day).

In West Tisbury, passes to Lambert’s Cove will be on sale starting June 17. They will be available at the parks and recreation shed at the West Tisbury School, open every day from 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. as well as 4 to 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Beach stickers will be required starting Saturday, June 24.
