Earlier this week the girls tennis team won their first-round playoff game defeating Middleborough 4-1 Wednesday afternoon at home. Next up is the sweet 16 where they’ll play the winner of top-seeded Weston vs. Norton at a date yet to be determined.

In other playoff action Friday, the girls lacrosse team fell to Cape Cod Academy 20-4 on the Cape. During a season where there was uncertainty if there would be enough referees for the games to be held, the girls persevered under first year head coach Lacey Dinning and earned a spot in the playoffs. Despite the loss they still gained valuable postseason experience and have momentum to build on for next year.

The boys lacrosse playoff matchup is set for Monday at 4:30 p.m. in Rockland where they will take on the 11th seeded Bulldogs.
