We still have no adoptions to report, so this week we’ll be featuring Peter and Teddy.

Peter and Teddy are seven-month-old, black male rabbits. They have been hand-raised and are litter box trained. They are both very friendly, and love to be held and cuddled. And they’re happy living indoors or out.

We’re perplexed as to why Snort is still here. She’s such as lovely cat, stunningly beautiful and sweet as pie. Snort is a 13-year-old, Persian cat. Her markings are tri-color (calico), and she has eyes of different colors. She’s lived with both cats and dogs, but would rather be an only pet so she can get all the loving.

Teddy is also looking for a forever home. He’s a five-year-old, short-haired, mid-size dog who is white with brindle markings. He’s a friendly, happy boy who loves to play, but is in need of continued training. If you think you might be interested in meeting Teddy, please contact the shelter.

The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. Also, if anyone is in need of cat food, dog food, or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. Just give us a call during regular Shelter hours.

The shelter phone number is 508-627-8662. Hours are: Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Thursday; 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
