Martha's Vineyard-based radio statio WMVY announced this week that Hilary V.  Greene has been named the station's director of underwriting.

Broadcasting locally at 88.7 FM with a second signal at 96.5 FM, the non-profit, independent station also serves much of the Cape Cod and Newport, R.I. area. Ms. Greene will focus on raising support from local and national businesses, according to the announcement.

Most recently, Ms. Greene was the executive director for the Cape, Islands and Southeast chapter of the American Red Cross.  Her radio history includes stints at WCOD, WBCN and WFNX. She lives in Centerville and is an ordained deacon at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Osterville.
