The Island Disability Coalition, an initiative of Martha’s Vineyard Community Services, is inviting Vineyard employers to a breakfast meeting Feb. 19 to learn about hiring workers with disabilities.

Former longtime employees of Chilmark Chocolates are among the Islanders with disabilities who are available to fill jobs on the Vineyard, according to the coalition newsletter.

The meeting takes place in the culinary arts room at the Martha’s Vineyard High School from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Feb. 19.

Formed in 2017, the disability coalition includes individuals with disabilities, their families and Island organizations including the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, Island Grown Initiative, Misty Meadows, the FARM Institute, Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary and the Martha’s Vineyard Library Association.
