Union Chapel opens its season on Sunday, June 30 with the Rev. Cathlin Baker delivering a sermon entitled How Deep is Your Love? — Dr. King’s Levels of Love and Today’s Climate Emergency. Reverend Baker has been the pastor of the West Tisbury Congregational Church since 2008, the first female minister at the church in its 300-year history.

Union Chapel will continue to host guest ministers for the duration of the summer, including returning preachers Otis Moss 3rd and the Rev. Dr. Calvin Butts, among others. Making their debuts at Union Chapel this summer include the Rev. Nancy Taylor, pastor of Old South Church in Boston and the Rev. Dr. Thomas Long, professor emeritus at Emory University.

All services begin at 10 a.m., with an organ prelude starting at 9:40 a.m.

Union Chapel is located in Oak Bluffs on Narragansett avenue at the intersection with Kennebec and Circuit avenues.
