The eighth annual Pink and Green festival invades Edgartown this weekend to celebrate Mother’s Day and the coming busy season. The three-day event, from May 10 to 12, is packed with activities that range from eating to shopping, from eating and shopping, from eating and shopping, plus a dog parade.

There is a 5K race too on Saturday to help ease the eating, shopping and drinking.

For those who would rather sit while touring the town there are horse and carriage rides throughout the weekend. There will also be plenty of music in the air at the restaurants and outside of the Eisenhauer Gallery.

There is no actual rule that one must wear Pink and Green to attend the events, but why not jump into the spirit. And don’t forget the pink collar for the dog.
