The Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse is getting into the holiday spirit with a production of the Snow Queen, opening this weekend, Dec. 8 through 10, and continuing next weekend Dec. 15 to 17.

The fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen was first published in 1844, and is a classic tale of good over evil.

The cast includes plenty of Islanders, from adults to teens to children, with choreography by Toni Cohen, original music composed by Charlie Esposito, and directed by MJ Bruder Munafo.
