The following letter was sent to the Oak Bluffs selectmen.

I have been coming to the meetings regarding the issue of moped rentals since the first time the Mopeds Are Dangerous Action Committee (MADAC) was allowed to speak. The tireless presentation of copious amounts of information gathered by the key members MADAC should result in no other conclusion than to stop those purveyors who are clearly in violation to no longer be allowed to rent mopeds. It frustrates me to no end that your body continues to procrastinate doing what you know is right, rather it appears you attempt to entrap MADAC by insinuating that their motive is to ban mopeds all together, or by asking inane questions like, will bicycles be next on the list of two-wheeled vehicles to be banned? One has nothing to do with the other, and you know it. Please stop dragging this issue out and please do your job and do what is right. Stop the rental of mopeds from dealers who are clearly in violation of the law, and who are renting these machines to people who have no clue what they are doing once they get on them. You have more than enough information to get this done.

Thank you for your attention to this life-threatening, home-wrecking predicament.
