Once again, Martha’s Vineyard school libraries have benefited from the extraordinary generosity of the Bunch of Grapes Bookstore. In April, for the fifth year in a row, the bookstore held a week long book fair and donated 20 per cent of all book sales to our school libraries. The Friday night kickoff party was great fun for all who attended, complete with games, crafts and Beverly Cleary cupcakes!

We’d like to give a big thanks to Dawn Braasch for her generosity, Molly Coogan for her creativity and enthusiasm and the rest of the Bunch of Grapes staff for their support and efforts throughout the planning and book fair week. We’d also like to thank all those people who shopped locally that week. Your support of the Bunch Grapes is essential to the survival of a year-round bookstore of such caliber here in our community.

On behalf of our students, our libraries and our schools, we send our heartfelt thanks to all who participated and we look forward to another successful book fair next year.
