The All-Island elementary school strings program will present the annual spring orchestra concert on Thursday, April 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center at the high school. The concert is free of charge.

Younger students will join intermediate and advanced musicians for pieces that range from Beethoven to Henry Mancini’s Pink Panther and Yellow Submarine by the Beatles. The night will conclude with a performance of America the Beautiful by the combined orchestra.

Eighty Island elementary string students, led by teachers Nancy Jephcote and Chelsea Pennebaker and assistants Carol Loud and Rebecca Laird, participate in the All-Island Intermediate and Advanced Orchestras. Many selections featured in the concert were performed during a trip to the Cape and Islands String Jamboree.
