The Friends of the Edgartown Library announce the publication of a new book, The Edgartown Free Public Library 1891-2016: A Brief History of the Library and its Friends. The 30-page hardcover book complete with research and photos chronicles the beginning of the library back in 1892 in the upstairs room of a building on Main street one door up from the present Corner Store, to the 2016 building on Edgartown-West Tisbury Road that recently opened.

The keepsake book is available at the library. The cost is $24; proceeds will be used by the Friends to support the library’s programs.
