The concert is being billed as We Are The New Generation, but in truth these performers have already arrived. They may be young and in high school, but many are already seasoned, playing music for all manner of events both on and off-Island.

The show is being held at The Base at Alex’s Place at the YMCA. This is an incubator for all sorts of new talent, both musical and otherwise. Teens head to The Base, a professional sound studio, all year long to work on their craft and perform for each other. And now a group of them will be in one place at one time for you.

The performers are Nate D’Angelo, a senior at MVRHS who has opened for award winning artists such as Ellis Paul; Caroline Sky from northern California who has a new, nationally-released CD; Jami Belushi from Los Angeles, who has created several music videos and been on several television shows including According to Jim, acting alongside her father Jim Belushi; Liam Weiland, who performs locally and nationally as part of Misfits of Avalon, and Kasey Stevenson and Robert Hanjian, who have both opened for the Stars and Stripes festival.

The show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are $5, available at the door. Visit alexsplace.net.
