Please Adopt Us

There is good news at the Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard this week — all the dogs have been adopted.

But there are still some cats who need to find homes. They are: Butter and Chloe, two tortoiseshell cats; Ceilia, the black shelter mascot who loves to greet people as they come through the door; Deacon and Mango, two handsome ginger tigers; Panchie, a lonesome, sweet gray and white kitty whose owner recently died; and Thor, a great big black cat who is new to the shelter.

There is also one brown, sweet friendly guinea pig name Zoey, who would make a great pet for a child.

At this writing there are no kittens available for adoption.

The shelter would like to thank the Oak Bluffs Library for their gift of pet food and money. It was a kind and generous gift.

Shelter hours are Wednesdays 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The shelter is closed Sunday through Tuesday. The telephone number is 508-627-8662.
