For the second season in a row, every eligible Vineyard team has qualified for the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletics Association tournament.

The softball team defeated Bourne 11-5 on Friday for their 10th win of the season, making them the final squad to advance to the playoffs. The girls earned an eleventh-hour trip to the postseason last year as well, winning four out of their last six games.

Boys’ lacrosse, boys’ tennis and girls’ tennis advanced earlier this month. The girls’ lacrosse team received their tournament seedings first, and was eliminated in the first round of the postseason on Saturday, falling 18-11 to 15th-seeded Foxboro.

Eighteenth-seeded boys’ lacrosse travels to Austin Prep Tuesday for their first-round game.

Baseball and softball receive their seedings Tuesday afternoon.

The undefeated boys’ tennis squad and the 16-2 girls’ team will receive their seedings Wednesday afternoon. This is the first time in the history of the tennis program the boys have had a perfect 18-0 season.

The track and field teams have completed their regular season and finished up competition in the MIAA Division 4 meet last weekend. They will send athletes to the state finals this weekend.

Sailing finished their season earlier this month with a trip to Wild Card Weekend, the preliminary race weekend for the New England Schools Sailing Association postseason.
