On April 19, 1975, extensive renovations to the children’s room upstairs at the West Tisbury Library were approved by the trustees. The money to pay for the changes was to come from book sales and the gift fund, not taxpayer money. The subcommittee of the trustees that worked out all the details consisted of David G. McCullough and Cris Jones. Jamie Alley and Jenny Manter would do the cataloging work; George Magnuson would do the repairing and painting, and Burnham and Magnuson of Edgartown would construct the divider and shelves.
