Would you like a guitar signed by James Taylor? Cooking class with Joan Nathan? How about a boat and breakfast trip to Cuttyhunk? A one-on-one basketball lesson with Junior Farrell?

All of these, plus desserts, dancing and drinks will be available on Saturday, July 23 at a fundraiser for the Chilmark Community Center, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the center. Look for one of a kind items in the silent and live auctions and enjoy music by Mike Benjamin.

The idea is to recognize the traditions of multigenerational Chilmark families who farm, fish, and enjoy the fellowship of the community and its gathering place. The event is hosted by the Chilmark Town Affairs Council and the center’s Funding Our Future campaign committee, now halfway towards the goal of raising the funds to secure the future if the center.

Tickets begin at $50 (one ticket, one drink) with packages available up to sustainers (six tickets and six drinks for $1,000).

Tickets will be for sale at the center, at the door and online at ticketsmv.com or chilmarkcommunitycenter.com.
