Please Adopt Us

Cages at the Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard are fast becoming empty, which is good news but soon kittens will be arriving so our volunteers will be busy again.

Please come in and consider adopting one of our long-term cats. And the sweet little bunny C.J. was adopted just in time for Easter, but Grace, the guinea pig, is still with us.

The four cats available still are: Binx, the beautiful long-haired black cat with long white whiskers; Maxine, a soft and cuddly tabby; Foxy Lady, a light-colored tortoiseshell; and Scout, a young female tiger and white tabby who is so friendly and loves to be petted and handled. Any one of these nice cats would make a great Easter addition to your family.

Please stop by during shelter hours, which are Wednesdays 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The shelter is closed Sunday through Tuesday. The telephone number is 508-627-8662.

Volunteers are needed and contributions are always gratefully accepted; we are funded solely by donations. The Susie Fund was established to pay the medical expenses of animals at the shelter who need medical care. Please make checks out to the Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard; the mailing address is P.O. Box 190, Edgartown MA 02539.
