Solar Sanctuary

Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary has installed 64 photovoltaic (PV) panels to power the sanctuary. The array is ground-mounted and approximately 15 feet tall, with an average system output of 14.67 kW, which will likely provide for more than 55 per cent of Felix Neck’s energy use. Over the 25-year lifetime of the PV system, the clean energy generated is equivalent to planting 7,738 trees or avoiding 38,244 pounds of heat-trapping carbon dioxide pollution in the air.
