IMP is looking for many young actors for a new musical, Sugar Rush, The Short and Sweet Adventures of the Gingerbread Boy.

Auditions are open to anyone in grades three and up with a desire to perform and a willingness to commit. Actors do not need to prepare anything for the audition and every attempt is made to make the audition fun and painless. Auditions are open on Tuesday, Nov. 30 and Wednesday, Dec. 1 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Edgartown School instrumental room

Writers Donna Swift and Ross Mihalko once again collaborated with composer Brian Weiland to create another fun, kid-friendly script. Sugar Rush is a musical so everyone is required to sing, although only the principal characters are required to be solo quality.

Rehearsals will begin on Dec. 5 and will run through the show dates on Jan. 21, 22 and 23. Depending on the role, most cast members will rehearse two to three times per week including Sundays. Actors are asked to bring their activities schedules to the audition so the director can work around scheduling conflicts. Everyone receives a rehearsal calendar before rehearsals begin.
