The Edgartown School presents the classic musical comedy Once Upon a Mattress. The play was originally created at a summer camp and opened on Broadway in 1959. It featured the debut of a talented young lady named Carol Burnett.

The cast includes over 25 Edgartown School students in grades six through eight, with stage direction by Donna Swift, musical direction by Beth Carr, stage management by Mariah Mac-Kenzie, sets by Alison Carr and sound by William Fligor and Peter Sawyer,

The show runs next Friday through Sunday. On Friday and Saturday, Nov. 5 and 6, the curtain rises at 7 p.m. Sunday’s show begins at 2 p.m.

Tickets for the shows are available at the door. Prices are $8 for adults, $6 for kids, and $25 for families.

Preceding the Saturday night show will be a special dinner served by the cast’s parents and teachers. Dinner begins at 6 p.m. and costs $15 for adults and $10 for kids. Dinner theater reservations can be made by calling Pam at 508-627-3316, ext 401.
