Library Run

The course is flat, the pace is fast. The finish line is at five kilometers, but the winner is always the Vineyard Haven Public Library, where begins this annual benefit run to the West Chop light and back.

Starting gun is at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 12.

There also is a half-mile fun run for kids 13 and under; it begins at 9:45 a.m.

Registration forms are available at the library on Main street, Vineyard Haven; race day registration begins at 8:30. There will be prizes for winners in all age groups, and a raffle.
