Elizabeth Morgan has become a licensed architect in the commonwealth of Massachusetts, following completion of the architectural registration exams, according to Kuhn Riddle Architects, located in Amherst.

Prior to her education as an architect, Ms. Morgan worked in the field of multimedia design and interactive development, working with digital environments and virtual way finding. As a designer, she brings this background into architecture by exploring the ways in which a building’s spatial and material language can create experiences that are both logical and sensory. She is particularly interested in the overlap of modern and vernacular design.

Ms. Morgan received her master of architecture degree from Yale University, where she was awarded teaching fellowships in both structures and urban design, and received the Clarke Family Scholarship for Excellence in Design. During her time in New Haven, she also worked for the Yale Urban Design Workshop, providing planning and design services to communities throughout Connecticut.

She will also be teaching at the U-Mass architecture department this fall.

Elizabeth is married to Rob Morgan, formerly of Edgartown. Rob is the son of Allouise and the late Bob Morgan of Edgartown. He is employed by Deerfield Academy. Rob and Elizabeth make their home in Shelburne Falls.
