Slow Food Potluck

Everyone is welcome at a Slow Food potluck dinner on Thursday, May 20, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Agricultural Hall in West Tisbury, where the topic for the evening will be permaculture.

Learn about permaculture and meet the members of the Martha’s Vineyard Permaculture Guild. Permaculture is the harmonious integration of humans, plants and animals into agriculturally productive ecosystems and socially just environments. It’s a design science that seeks to build interconnections allowing for energy efficiency. The local permaculture guild formed in 2009 and has been active in sponsoring workshops, films, potlucks and more aimed at creating a sustainable livelihood for Vineyard residents.

Bring a potluck dish (local if you can) to share, your own place setting and drinks. There will be a suggested donation of $5; free for Slow Food members. To become a member, e-mail SlowFoodVineyard@gmail.com
