The Rotary Club of Martha’s Vineyard held a drawing recently at the Ocean View Restaurant in Oak Bluffs to select the winning tickets in this year’s Great Lobster Raffle: first place of $500 or 50 pounds of lobsters went to Ben Walkowicz, an Island vacationer from Madison, N.J. Second place of $250 or 25 pounds of lobsters was won by Robby Rush, the golf professional at the Edgartown Golf Club. Third place of $150 or 15 pounds of lobsters went to Scott Jones of West Tisbury, who was standing in line for a Friday lobster roll dinner held in Vineyard Haven when he bought his ticket. The final 10-pound, $100 ticket went to Captain John Potter Jr. of the Skipper party boat out of Oak Bluffs.

Those who are not lobster lovers may buy any product or products handled by The Net Result with the values listed above.

This is the seventh year in a row that the Rotary club has held the raffle; this year the net gain for charity was over $5,000. The club holds four fund-raising events every year and the final project of the year, the Charity Golf Tournament will be held at the Vineyard Golf Club on Monday, Oct. 5.
