The Center for Creative Expression opens its fourth annual student photography exhibit with a reception at Featherstone Center for the Arts on Barnes Road in Oak Bluffs on Saturday, May 2, from 4 to 6 p.m.

The show features the work of four Island artists — Danielle Fogg, Nicole Mercier, Amy Sertl and Sarah Felder — under the tutelage of the center’s director, Janice Baer. Titled Through Our Eyes, the exhibit features unlikely beauty found in forgotten and surprising locations across the Island, captured both digitally and on film. Explore abandoned bathrooms, car dumps, farms and forgotten footpaths through the eyes of these four graduating seniors.

All four photographers will be present at Saturday’s reception, accompanied by Ms. Sertl’s celebrated cupcakes and other sweets to eat. The exhibit reopens on Sunday, May 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and can also be seen during Featherstone’s normal gallery hours on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, from noon to 4 p.m.
