Lecture: Voices of WWII, with Jane Slater and veterans Tom Hale and Hector Asselin, is at 3 p.m. at the Martha's Vineyard Museum in Edgartown. Cost is $12, $10 for members. For details, call 508-627-4441.

Celebrity Waiter's Dinner, to benefit Peace Quilt Project for Haiti, is from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Federated Church parish house, 45 South Summer street, Edgartown. Pasta and meatball dinner complete with Caesar salad, garlic bread and dessert. Bring the whole family. Cost is $7 for adults, $5 for children and $25 for a family. Cake Walk is at the Agricultural Hall in West Tisbury from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Bring a fun cake for a free walk. Face painting, games, craft table and prizes. Enjoy coffee and snacks. This event raises money to help pay for trips for the West Tisbury School.
