In a decade or two, they may all be headlining the Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival. But for now, a group of 14 aspiring young Island filmmakers will at least enjoy the opportunity to share their work with the Vineyard community and possibly a few of the seasoned filmmakers who will attend the festival to promote their own work.

Salsa with Saskia begins with a ladies' styling class at 6 p.m., beginners at 7 p.m. and intermediate dancers at 8 p.m. at the Camp Jabberwocky studio in Vineyard Haven, Greenwood avenue extension. Cost is on a sliding scale, from $7.50 to $12.50 per lesson.

Volunteers Feed Record Number of Islanders
The Island Food Pantry unfortunately broke another new record last week. In a span of three days, the pantry gave food to 184 Vineyarders. Of the three days, Monday, March 1 was the largest, with 74 recipients.
Though the snow is gone for now, and the coldest days could be past, “this is the tightest squeeze of the year,” said Armen Hanjian, who heads the nonprofit organziation that provides free food for the Island’s indigent. Work and finer weather have yet to arrive...
